Reporting something in the group
Every post in the group has a report control, and a block control, inside the app — that is the fastest route and it reaches the same person. If you would rather not use it, or you are reporting something urgent, email support@backtobeast.com with the word REPORT in the subject. Reports are reviewed at least every 48 hours. Whoever you report is never told who reported them.
If something is wrong with your health, not the app
Please don’t email us — we cannot help, and waiting for a reply costs you time. Contact a physio or your doctor. If you have sudden severe pain, a loss of feeling in the groin or both legs, a hot swollen joint, or breathlessness with calf pain, contact a clinician now or go to an emergency department.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Everything except the group works signed out and offline. An account exists so your history survives a new phone, and so you can delete a post you wrote.
How do I cancel?
In the app: Settings → Subscription. It opens the Apple subscription screen, which is the only place a subscription can actually be cancelled. We cannot cancel it for you, and neither can anybody else — that is Apple’s design, not ours.
How do I get my data out, or delete it?
Settings → Export everything, or Settings → Delete everything. Both are at the top of Settings and neither needs to go through us. Deleting removes every row you own on the device and on the server; the empty login itself needs us to remove by hand, so email if you want that too.
My clinic gave me a code.
Settings → Subscription → I have a clinic code. It unlocks everything, and it tells us nothing about you that you haven’t already told your clinic.
Is the app going to tell me what’s wrong with me?
No, and it is built not to. It will show you what people describing something similar commonly read about, always more than one thing, always with a route to a clinician — and it will never attribute any of it to you. Only somebody who can examine you can tell you what is actually going on.
Does it work on Android?
Not yet. It is iPhone first because the movement check uses the phone’s own motion sensors and the health integration is Apple Health.
